Specifications:
All timber is pressure treated. Rated life is 30 years against insect attack and wood rot.
Metal fittings are made from stainless steel

All blinds are finished with formulated deep penetrating oil, which prevents the formation of mildew and ingress of water
Installation is uncomplicated and reasonably fast. hardware for general installation is available from your local STORM BLIND distributor.
Being a natural product the slats and pelmet/valance may have minor imperfections. Slight warping and colour variations may occur, which add to the character of the blind.
Storm Blinds, when in use are anchored with adjustable tensioning straps to eliminate blind flaps. These are secured to flat stainless steel base plates which are foot friendly.
All timber used is sourced from sustainable forests.
Maintenance:
To achieve full benefits for your STORM BLINDS it is important that a simple maintenance procedure be followed
Genuine STORM BLIND oil should be ragged on every three months for the first year, thereafter bi-annually.
STORM BLINDS are fitted with adjustable polyester webbing (tensioning straps), once the blinds have settled, these should be re-tensioned, to take up any excess slack which may have developed.

Precaution:
It is preferable to have blinds rolled up in severe winds

Anti Fungal Preservative Oil:
Storm Blinds oil has been specially formulated to provide protection against u.v rays, water, ingress, mildew and to enhance the appearance of exterior wooden blinds. Surfaces should be dry and brushed clean. Oil should be appliued liberally with an absorbent cloth. During application, care should be taken to cover floor areas which may be affected by the oil. Storm Blind Oil should be applied every 3 months during the first year and thereafter bi-annually.
